Long Phi Tran (b. 1989) is a Vietnamese ink painter based in Ho Chi Minh City.
His work has received international recognition. In January 2026, his artwork was selected as the cover of Heart Rhythm Journal, published by Elsevier. He has shared his artistic vision through global interviews and features in Spain, The Netherlands, France, Georgia, and Australia as well as a showcase in New York’s Times Square and several awards / honors from prestigious international juried art competitions and exhibitions (USA, Georgia, Canada, etc.).
Alongside his ink practice, he explores black-and-white conceptual photography as an extended experiment, drawing direct inspiration from the themes and concepts found in his ink paintings. This unique approach has garnered recognition in global competitions, including the Exposure One Awards (2026), the reFocus Awards (2026) and the Monochrome Photography Awards (2025).
Tran’s work has also been highlighted by Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Vietnam UNESCO Federation Magazine in 2026, and was selected for inclusion in Ho Chi Minh City university-level final examinations in 2025, reflecting both artistic merit and conceptual depth.
