Long Phi Tran (b. 1989) is a Vietnamese ink painter based in Ho Chi Minh City.
His work has received international recognition. In January 2026, his artwork was selected for the cover of the Heart Rhythm Journal, published by Elsevier. He has shared his artistic vision through global interviews and features in Spain, The Netherlands, France, Georgia, and Australia. Furthermore, his work has been featured on ARTSY, the premier global platform for art, and showcased in New York’s Times Square. He has also received numerous awards and honors from prestigious international juried art competitions and exhibitions across the USA, Georgia, Hungary, Canada, and beyond.
Alongside his ink practice, he explores black-and-white conceptual photography as an extended experiment, drawing direct inspiration from the themes and concepts found in his ink paintings. This unique approach has garnered recognition in global competitions, including the Monochrome Photography Awards (2025), the Exposure One Awards (2026), and the reFocus Awards (2026).
Tran’s work has also been highlighted by Voice of Vietnam (VOV) (National Broadcaster), the Department of Grassroot Information and Foreign Information of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Vietnam UNESCO Federation Magazine in 2026, and was selected for inclusion in Ho Chi Minh City university-level final examinations in 2025, reflecting both artistic merit and conceptual depth.
