Parallel to his artistic career, Long Phi Tran is a practicing dermatologist (HCMC Society of Dermatology) and a Vietnamese-language author (pen name: jelu.c) (HCMC Writers Association).
His writings have been widely introduced by Vietnam’s most prestigious press agencies: Tuoi Tre [] - VnExpress [] - VietnamNet [] - The Thao & Van Hoa [] - Phu Nu [] - Mot The Gioi []... He was among the young authors selected for the 2012-2017 HCMC Best Short Stories collection.
